Circular Earth: Building a Future Beyond Just Circular Products

At Circular Earth, our vision extends beyond the boundaries of product design. We’re not just focused on creating physical products that are circular and transparent, we’re challenging the entire system they operate within.

More Than Just Products

Yes, circularity and transparency in materials matter. It’s essential to design products that can return safely to the earth or be reused endlessly. But what about the systems that support those products? That’s where our work comes in.

Circular Earth is focused on the bigger picture: how we can redesign the systems around circular products to make them truly work at scale. That means diving deep into:

Business structures

We explore how business models need to shift away from linear, profit-above-all strategies, toward circular models that prioritise long-term value, regeneration, and transparency. We're interested in how ownership, governance, and accountability evolve in a truly circular economy.

Finance and funding

Sustainable systems need sustainable finance. Circular Earth works to align financial mechanisms, like investment models, capital structures, and impact measurement, with circular values. We’re interested in how capital can fuel regeneration, not extraction.

Physical systems

The infrastructure of our world, such as transport, energy, manufacturing, and waste, must evolve to support a circular flow of materials. We look at the practical, grounded work of building these systems, understanding how logistics, traceability, and materials handling can enable real change.

Customer buy-in

None of this works without people. That’s why we place major emphasis on the end user—the customer, the citizen, the community. Circular Earth is exploring how to build trust, invite participation, and make circular systems not only accessible but desirable.

Transparency Is the Thread

Across all these areas, transparency is our guiding principle. We believe in open systems, honest communication, and data-backed decisions. Whether it’s showing customers where a product came from or sharing how a supply chain operates, transparency builds the trust needed to transform systems from the inside out.

The Work Ahead

Circular Earth isn’t here to tick boxes or greenwash. We’re here to roll up our sleeves and help make the systemic shifts required for a truly circular future. We work with businesses, creatives, funders, and system thinkers to design for longevity, resilience, and regeneration—from the ground up.

We’re proud to now share this mission front and centre on our new homepage. Take a look, explore our approach, and get in touch if you’d like to collaborate. Whether you’re a business rethinking its model, a funder wanting to align capital with purpose, or simply someone curious about how circularity can be more than a buzzword—we’d love to hear from you.

A Message from Rachel Sheila Kan

Times have been difficult in 2024. However, for the first quarter of 2025—with EPR and DPP coming to the forefront—we’ve seen a shift in attention from simple tick-boxing toward a real desire to build strategic frameworks that truly apply circularity.

We know this is about far more than just finding ways to mass recycle and carry on as usual. New research makes it clear: that path is no longer viable. We must rethink and rework our models, our modes of operation, and embrace diversified revenue streams that move us away from extraction as the default.

Be confident in your decisions. Join us to blueprint and actualize your circular business models.

We look forward to collaborating and connecting with you in Q2, Q3, or Q4.

Warmly,

Rachel Sheila Kan
